Secco moved to Richmond's Fan neighborhood in 2016 and has established itself as a sanctuary for wine lovers. Owner and wine director Julia Battaglini opened Secco Wine Bar in 2010 in Carytown after a successful decade-long run of her wineshop River City Cellars.
At Secco, we believe that drinking the good stuff is a natural right, so we proudly serve a wide array of small-production, terroir-driven Old World wines. We offer classic and house cocktails, imported and local craft beers, as well as Lamplighter coffee and Carytown Teas brewed to order.
All these flowing potables are anchored around a menu from chef Julie Heins, where seasonal ingredients, farmstead cheeses, traditional charcuterie and house-made everything are worked into a wide selection of pan-Mediterranean, wine-friendly dishes.
Our casual-chic vibe makes Secco equally ideal for a leisurely dinner or a glass and a quick bite anytime. Still, what really sets Secco apart is a staff, led by general manager Dave Martin, that is friendly, knowledgeable and dedicated to spreading the gospel of good eats.
